Made in South Africa, this ultra-light ballistic plate is engineered for professionals who need reliable protection without excess weight. Constructed from premium Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), it delivers certified Level III ballistic performance (when used with soft armour) at an incredible 1.1kg.

Tested to SANS 1658:2007 Level III, the plate features a durable black woven cover and a comfortable multi-curve profile for a secure, ergonomic fit in plate carrier vests.

Unlike ICW plates, these plates provide complete protection on their own and do not require soft armour to meet their certified rating.

When used on its own, these plates will protect the following:

• 7.62 × 39 mm BALL MILD STEEL CORE (AK-47) 123gr @ 710 m/s
• 5.56 × 45 mm BALL M193 LEAD CORE (R5) 55 gr @ 965 m/s
• 7.62 × 51 mm NATO BALL LEAD CORE (R1) 143 gr @ 847 m/s
• And all lesser threats.
