Warranty Policy
1. Warranty Coverage:
Caracal is committed to providing you with high-quality products. All products are protected by a 12-month warranty with local support. If your product breaks under normal use, simply return it for a repair or replacement.
The warranty provided by Caracal covers products purchased for personal use only. It does not cover bulk purchases from auctions, government or customs clearance sales, second-hand markets, or flea markets with the intent to resell repaired or refurbished products.
The warranty applies exclusively to the original or primary owner of the purchased product.
2. Warranty Claims:
In the event of a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

- Your order number
- A clear and concise description of the issue
- Any relevant photographs or documentation
3. Bulk Orders and Warranty Claims:
For customers who place bulk orders, Caracal acknowledges that they may choose to resell our products. However, it is important to note that our warranty does not extend to the end customers of bulk order purchasers. In the event of a warranty claim, the end customer must return the product to the original bulk order purchaser.
The warranty claim process for bulk order purchasers is as follows:

End Customer's Responsibility: If an end customer of a bulk order purchaser encounters an issue covered by the warranty, they must contact the original bulk order purchaser directly for assistance.

Submission of Warranty Claim: The bulk order purchaser, who holds the original order number, is responsible for submitting the warranty claim on behalf of their end customer. They can do so by contacting Caracal directly through our designated warranty claim channels.
Caracal is committed to ensuring a seamless warranty claim process and providing excellent customer service to both bulk order purchasers and their end customers. 4. Return Process:
Depending on the nature of the warranty claim, Caracal may request that the product be returned to us for inspection and assessment. If requested, please follow these return procedures:
- Caracal will provide instructions on how to package and ship the product safely.
- Shipping costs associated with returning the product will be the responsibility of the customer.
- Caracal will evaluate the product upon receipt and determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage.
5. Rust Prevention:
It is important to note that rust formation on metal products are a natural occurrence and are not covered under the warranty. It is the responsibility of the user to prevent rust through adequate cleaning and oiling. To ensure the longevity of your metal product and prevent rust, please follow these guidelines:
- Periodically clean the product with a mild detergent and warm water.
- Thoroughly dry after cleaning.
- Rinse metal products with fresh water after exposure to saltwater and dry promptly.
- Apply a light coat of oil, especially if metal product has been exposed to saltwater or used in marine environments.
6. Warranty Exclusions:
The warranty coverage will be voided under the following circumstances:
- Deliberate misuse or abuse of the Caracal product beyond its intended use, including using it for testing or review purposes.
- Any failure or damage caused by actions not consistent with normal use for which the product was designed.
- Instances of abuse, modification, theft, loss, or any unauthorized or unreasonable use of the product.
- Natural wear and tear such as wearing down of finishing, blunting of blades or tools.
- Natural wear and tear of the spring or other components.
Normal wear and tear is excluded from the warranty, and includes, but is not limited to, the gradual wearing down of finishing or coatings on the product and the blunting of blades and tools due to regular use. These natural and expected signs of use and aging are not considered defects in materials or workmanship and are not covered under this warranty.
7. Limitation of Liability:
Caracal's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. We will not be responsible for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.

Delivery
What is the cost of shipping?
Shipping is free if your order is worth R1,000 or more. If your order is less than R1,000, shipping will be R89 and will be added to your order at checkout.
Where are orders shipped from?
All our orders are shipped from our warehouse in Westville, Durban KZN.
When will I receive my order?
If you live in a normal town or city, your order should be delivered to your door within 3 days of dispatch.
Please allow 5 days if you are in an outlying area.
Do you ship internationally?
We only ship orders locally in South Africa.

Payments
Can I pay for my order with an EFT payment on my internet banking?
We accept South African EFT/bank transfers. Simple choose "EFT" payment method when you check out. You will receive our banking details and an order number when you have completed your checkout. You will also recieve an email with all the details you need to make a payment for your order.
Please allow 1-2 working days for your payment to clear if you are paying from any bank other than FNB. Payments from FNB accounts will clear immediately.
Can I pay for my order using my debit or credit card?
You can pay for your order using any major debit or credit card using PayFast payment gateway. Simply select the "PayFast" payment method when checking out and follow the prompts.
